Hello Friends,
I am heading out for my new adventure to Kabul Afghanistan on July 1when I fly 15 hours from Washington, DC to Dubai (13 hours) and then on to Kabul the following day which will thankfully only take 2 1/2 hours. At that point I will be living in a safehouse which is located next to the American Embassy in Kabul. More to come upon my arrival.
Love to all.
GAIL
To my dear friend Gail,
ReplyDeleteMy heart is very full. Words cannot express my gratitude for your willingness to do this important work because I know why you choose to go. I look forward to your return. Every day will bring you one more day closer to coming home.

Thanks Doc. Some of the guys I deployed with aren't nearly prepared medically as I am. Once again, great thanks to you and your staff. Your medical guidance is now helping a bunch of other folks.
ReplyDeleteRapidly reverting from farmer to Colonel again... sad, it took me 2 years to break that habit.
My best to all the gals in the office
Gail,
ReplyDeleteI just learned that you are in Afghanistan... unlike you Sheila and I are pretty unplugged here at Lake Holiday. We love it, as much as we love and admire you for your sacrifice and patriotism.
Just glad you are on our side!! Hope you do in a batch of bad guys.
God Bless,
Gene
Hi Gail! Not sure how "blog communication" works, but I'm giving it a whirl! I've been thinking of you alot lately . . & enjoying catching up on your life through this blog thing! Just want to tell you that you look great! I can hear your voice through your writings! You seem to have adjusted well to this adventure you are on! Keep posting all those interesting pictures! It's an education for someone like me who will most likely never travel to such far-away lands! Thank you for sharing your experiences & expressing yourself openly! My next glass of wine I will toast to you! Missing you here in New Hampshire!
